Biographical Sketch and Testimony

NAME: Rev. Pete Vecchi (pronounced VEK-ee)

FACTS OF INTEREST:

Pete Vecchi was born and raised in Illinois, where he was saved during a Vacation Bible School.  He was entirely sanctified while a college sophomore, and from there was called to take part in various Christian ministries.

From 1982 to 1984 he was a member of full-time traveling musical ministry teams, and after that served as a youth minister until 1987.

Pete participated in part time music ministry from 1987 (including recording a CD of Christian music in 1989) until being called into full-time evangelism ministry in 1993 after a short-term mission trip to Russia.

Pete was officially assigned as a Registered Evangelist in the Church of the Nazarene in 1995, and served full-time in that capacity until 2004.

In 2004, Pete accepted the call to serve as the full-time pastor of the Alpha Church of the Nazarene.
